I've seen that also, and when the site came back I found my contribution posted anyway. Have to check before hitting 'post' again or it might go up twice.

You will also get that error notice if there's a character in the text that this site doesn't recognize, possibly something from a cut n paste.

These work: ∏ λ ♥ æ √ § but some of the others will hang it up.
