Redoak if I take the $72.00 per 100 liter it converts to $32.72 cwt and I am sure that they get a higher gross price for their milk.

So paying for quota to expand isn’t that bad at all, but I agree it is somehow too expensive.

Losing $1,000 per cow in 2009 and getting paid $16 cwt in 2010 is definitely not going to keep our dairy farmers on their farms.

We need some sort of production control at the farm level here in the US; if not our dairy producers will end up like the chicken and pork producers.
