Subject: horsepower requirements, size of Magnum in photo

Jim,

Looking at indexed farming/fertilizing systems as you describe here, one key element is horsepower requirement. Could you elaborate further the tractor weight/horsepower needed for different elements (e.g. 6000 vs. pluribus, physical weight of toolbar, speed, etc). If he was using tractor hydraulic what flow and horsepower would be required.

For switching back/forth maybe it's time to resurrect the "fast hitch" whereby you have sub-toolbars configured as you want that you can attach to the main bar quickly and feeding appropriate tubes or hoses for product delivery.

These questions are important to me as I consider future strategies in strip till and fertilizer but also potential tractor investments in horsepower and hydraulic capacity. To be clear, I am not looking at 60' 24 row units though.

Thanks in advance
