Omni* is much better than waas when it comes to accuracy and repeatability(not as good as rtk though). Omni*(or rtk for that matter) won't be of any help if you are only receiving 4 satellites or less, you need 5 or more to be able to autosteer. The farther north you are the worse it is supposed to be for waas and omni* to keep the dgps correction(just what I have been told). One big pain in the neck about omni* is convergence time(20 to 30 minutes if not using fast restart or if you lose convergence while moving in the field or on the road).
