| Had the samething happen to a dog years ago. He was about 17 yrs old when we finally had to put him down. For the last year or so when you let him outside to do his business he would walk continiously around the house to you got his attention & got him back in. Always the same path & withhis head down. He walked that path so much that it showed in the grass for seveal years, like a deer trial.
The day finally came that we new it was time to take him to the vet to be put down was in the middle of iwnter & the ground was so frozen the only place I could find to dog his grave was next to the house foundation, which just happened to be on the path he walked. I had partially dug his grave when I got a phone call & had to come into the house. Meanwhile my wife let the dog out to go to the bathroom. When I went back out to finish his grave I found him in the grave and he looked up at me like he knew what was going on. Pretty sad.to see him there | |
