 Alton, Ia | There are probably a lot of things I do over a years time less safe, such as climbing up grain bins right before the T-storm hits to shut the lid, nosing around the combine while it's running to see where that squeaky noise is, etc. These guys are most likely using very well designed and inspected stuff, taking precautions, and getting paid bookoo bucks. I would be more concerned about the crane operator down below, he's awfully close and there is no guarantee all the chunks fall in. I'm sure he's under a steel cage, but if I was there and heard the crash, it'd stop my heart.
A few times, I've had the oppurtunity to be up that high in a cage off a crane. Once you get up over ~ 50', the distance doesn't really matter any more. | |
