Subject: Re: Older Farmers and Auto Steer?

I think that it depends mostly on the individual, not just their age, although the older we are the easier it is for the "kids" to make us look bad with high tech gadgets. My Dad refused to learn how to use the spray monitor (all he needed was a pressure guage), he refused to use the combine yield monitor. He would flip a switch to turn it on, but that was it. He quite working for me before we got the auto steering... what a joke that would have been to even try him on that. You can't teach an old dog new tricks...when the old dog doesn't want to learn. Now my FIL loves the new technology tools, go figure that one out.
