Gently put the cat in the tub so your careful not to get her too shook up, . Work the detergent gently into her fur, then do a careful sponge bath rinse using warm water. Be careful to get as little water as possible on her head, that really upsets them.
I used to give our old house cat a bath about once per month. She would protest a bit about getting wet, but she really liked the feeling of being clean.
Not too hard a deal if your quiet and patient with them.
What worked best for me was using the portable shower head on a hose, set the cat in the empty tub with the drain open, then do a gentle warm rinse with the shower head. Not setting the cat in a tub of water really helped. |
