So what is the good and the bad of these ISX truck engines? Looking at a IH Semi with a 435 ISX. Truck is a 06. How much trouble can I expect from the emissions system? Are their certain years of production to stay away from? I know a good old N14 would be a lot simpler engine but all of the trucks from that era are starting to have a lot of miles on them. Any advise would be great. Thanks.

Not to hijack the post.... but did you ever figure out what is wrong with your truck engine?
While Im no truck guy....Those ol n 14's have some downflls too... like the 540$ injectors the use in them. But engines all seem to be made pretty good now day...
Good luck on you search for a truck.
