Jon, that is truely fantastic. I need to start doing a few of those same things. Love taking those one day drives, seeing the sights.

As I recall your area also has some interesting coal mining history?

We do have some allmost cool stuff here to see. I am only an hour, or a little over, drive from the Pacific ocean. Along the coast, there is some interesting history. There is a new museum I need to see that is supposed to be dedicated to the Tillamook burn. I have'nt been to the Tillamook cheese factory since I was in grade school. I have been a Tillamook cheesehead for my whole life. Love the sharp chedders and the swiss cheese from Tillamook.

I hope you and Don can take the time to do more of this. It sounds like you really enjoyed yourselves.

Yep, we used to stock car race, 2, sometimes 3 nights per week and usually had a little time for a few trips each summer / fall.
We backed off from that when we had the farm land to pay for and mom / dad retired, leaving us with a much larger work load. Also bought into the lie that the farm must get larger and larger every year to survive.
The old 76 model Pace Arrow motor home with 25,000 original miles has not been out of storage since 98.

Well everything is paid for, have enough money in savings to easily see us out and my health is slipping pretty bad.

Time to enjoy what you worked a lifetime for.
Sure felt good this year with 1/4 less acres, to not have to spend every moment trying to get stretched over every acre and never having quite enough time to get it just right.
