Jon, SD has one of those too. I grew up in this area with the Minuteman missles operated out of Ellsworth AFB near Rapid City. The missle sites and launch control facilities
(LCF
) were deactivated and sold off and the underground wiring connecting the LCF's to the missle sites reverted to the landowners A few years ago a lot of the cable in this area was salvaged by landowners including some that crossed my place.
One of the LCF's in my county has been turned into a B&B. In fact a couple guys here on NAT came to SD to do some prairie dog hunting and stayed at the B&B. ;-
) Another LCF has the interior walls removed and is used for indoor archery.

Thanks for the link John. I see the one in SD has a dummy missile under glass in an intact silo.
That has to be on top of next years trip list. Have not been to the black hills for maybe 30 years. ;-
)
