Hayinhere - 10/21/2010 00:43 If every bid placed on your auction is binding on the bidder, why would you send them a message that tells them they aren't qualified. Does it count or not: A. yes it counts even if bidders ignore our $1,000 three day CC loan request. B. no it doesnt count and we won't count it as a real bid. Pick one. To add to this: What if the other guy outbid Funacres, then Funacres ignores the email about qualification and does not bid again. Does the other bidder get stuck with the higher price? Or does Purplewave inform the other guy that he won the bid at the price he bid before Funacres jumped in? If other auctions do not consider a bidder to be qualified until they provide a LOC, it's understandable someone would think their bid is invalid by receiving an email requesting additional qualifications, particularly when that is not clear on the web site. Referring to someone old enough to make business decisions for themselves involving thousands of dollars as flaky or deadbeat isn't a good business move in my opinion.
