Subject: RE: Beware of PURPLE WAVE

Texas

I have just finished talking with Jerrod, who is the president of PW.  He has given me an ear and I have addressed my concerns about the timing of the bidder qualification process.

First of all, I'm not "hacked off" about the requirements of the bidder process or the need for it.  Now please understand clearly this point.  The grief on my part centers around the use of my bid before I'm a qualified bidder.  Jerrod made the point that he needed to know if I could perform or not.  Of course that is a valid concern.  Let's get that cleared up before posting any bid from me and using it to raise the winning bid price.  The horse needs to be before (in front) of the cart.

PW is using a threshhold of $10,000 before requiring additional qualification other than the credit card information.  Therefore, a bid placed up to that amount is considered qualified.  No bid should be allowed beyond that amount UNTIL the bidder is qualified by the additional requirements of their choice.  I have asked Jerrod to change the company practices and get the bidder qualified FIRST before using them as part of the bid process above that amount, if that is going to be the standard practice.

Now for those of you that wish to continue ridiculing me, get this clear.  I believe PW should qualify any bidder to the level they are comfortable with.  My COMPLAINT and CONCERN is that they are using UNQUALIFIED BIDDERS to increase the auction amounts BEFORE they have had the necessary time to get them qualified. GOT IT?????

I don't want to get pulled into any scenario that artificially raises my cost of doing business with whomever I partner with.  Let's hope that Jerrod chooses to fix this failure.
