Subject: A great year to harvest for us.

Marengo, Iowa
We finished the 2010 crop harest on October 18th running 21 days continuios, starting on Sept. 28th. The last corn came out at 13.5% moisture. The 28&29th we had to run the corn thru the dryer. On the 30th, we switched to beans, and finished them on Oct. 4th and back to drier corn on Oct. 5th- 18th. Last year, we didn't start harvest till Oct.17th and finished Nov. 23. and it all had to be dried. Corn yeilds will be down, compared to last year. One flat creek bottom farm that had the creek run thru it 5 times, and the river back up in the low places only made 70 BPA. Some of the well tiled HEL ground made over 200 BPA.
