Subject: Soil Nitrate test and corn after frozen wheat

Middle TN
I'm trying to decide whether to go with beans or corn after frozen wheat. I pulled some samples for a soil nitrate test and test came back showing 10 lbs/acre.

I put 36 units on in the fall, 36 units on mid-February, and 55 units of liquid on in March. We've had very, very little rain. The ground was so hard I couldn't get a 6in sample.

The wheat was in the late boot and was crotch high so I suspect it used quite a bit. With it being so dry, could I have lost alot to the atmosphere? Needless to say, 10lbs is not what I expected....any thoughts?
