Minnesota | We have a JD 2410 chisel plow with the floating hitch. It is the ONLY green piece of equipment we own, so we didn't buy it because it's green. It's a really good machine...it doesn't bounce and it stays in the ground. HOWEVER, it has very few grease points and a lot of cast parts -- so longevity is questionable.
Our neighbors have a new CIH chisel plow. They are happy with it and it looks like a good machine.
If you need it this fall, March 2011 isn't going to do much good.
PS -- we have 360 hp on 24 feet and can run out of power in our conditions. | |
