NW Washington | FWIW, the AGCO folks seem to be proud of the Gleaner rotor design and "reverse bars" because they made theirnewer Axial rotor machine rotors look a lot like the Gleaner rotor. I am not sure that was a step in the right direction. Seems to me that "reverse bars" would tend to plug up the works and I know that guys who tinker with their Gleaner to improve performance often take them out.
Maybe the AGCO lads should be looking at the other axial rotor machines for ideas instead of the crossway rotor Gleaners.
