Subject: Grain Markets

Devils Lake, ND
I'm afraid to go over to Market Talk today, as I'm sure it represents a Roman orgy/Philadelphia Eagles game rolled into one. But can I get a short, simply-worded synopsis of what happened today? USDA released a corn report with a dramatic reduction in corn yields; that part I get. But how small of a carryout are we talking now?

I have been in the camp that believes we will see a commodities boom and the accompanying inflation when the economy shows some kind of life. Is the crop short enough to lend credence to this theory? I'll hang up and listen.
