North Central Kansas | Fred and at least two of his daughters are lawyers. One of his daughters works for the State of Kansas in one of the departments. Back in the 60's Fred Phelps was a civil rights attorney that was involved in the civil rights movement. Somewhere along the way things went south. Earlier this week someone sent an envelope with a white substance to their office in Topeka. It was a harmless powder.
Fred Phelps gives Kansas a bad name. I keep thinking someone sometime is going to take him out. It just hasn't happened yet.
The Patriot Guard was founded here in Kansas to stop them from showing up to funerals. They are an amazing group to see at a funeral with the flags and the motorcycles.
