Subject: RE: That's pretty significant . .

central - east central Minnesota -

acfarmer - 10/6/2010 21:48 My total doctors bill was around 54,000 thousand dollars and I have a rod and 8 screws in my leg. 5 days in hospital and 10 months off work.  No questions about who the homeowner was by ins. company. But maybe 54,000 is a few hundred dollars to you.

That's pretty significant amount, who can explain when and why insureance companies decide when to persue other's insured? I wouldn't use your one example as the norm for the insurance industry . . . .

Snowmobiler was jumping drifts in a state hwy ditch. In the ditch was a old unused cattle pass with culvert under the road, it made for deep snow, that filled in this deep trench in the ditch - nice for jumping across with snowmobile. Snowmobiler became a paraplegic- snowmobilers insurance company took land owner to court. Land owner lost and his liablilty insurance had to pay for life care for the snowmobiler . . .  it happens, you have no control or say in the matter.
