North Central Ohio, across the Corn belt !

buckster - 10/6/2010 11:36 Just talked to a guy that uses a 50/50 blend of chicken litter and chicken litter ash. Put over a $100 a acre on of this stuff last fall and still only 47 bu beans!!!!! Other guys reporting 60-70 bu beans in the same area that use commercial fert. Just saying you better watch what you are getting.

to much of the wrong product, for Your soil

You can tie up nutrients, Literally sterilize the soil at times. Over adjust the soil PH. and or just Slow the Microbial soil life way down to the point that organic Nutrient Feeding is Stopped.

Also, weed control can also be an issue. With the over application of the in correct product, or Over applying a certain and specific product.

Before applying any product. Understand the Why, what, where and How Much. More than the person selling you the product does.
