SW Idaho | I am not familiar with northern ID and the elk but what I have seen and heard about the wolves in the southern part of the state is the same as what was posted already. I would hunt them with a bow, but I have not touched a rifle for almost 30 years. You might check, I don't have regulations in front of me, and see if there is a late archery season. Another advantage of a bow is most units are for either sex. If your only after a big bull your chances could be higher with a rifle. | |
