Near-north Ontario, French River | I have to agree with Tim and Redoak, your reaction could have been better. Both your son and you admitted to being aware of the policy before hand ,then breaking the rules, so you have no reason for flying off the hook. The proper thing to do would have been to go visit the school, in a calm manner, discuss the issue and if not happy with the result the next step would be to communicate your concern to the board. All you've managed to do,beyond making an adversary out of the principal, is to teach your son that the answer to a problem is physical confrontation. I know had I been a witness to you flying into the parking lot and confronting the principal the situation would surely have painted you in a very bad light. |
