Absolutely beautiful! As stated in other posts, I don't know if I could farm there. I was born a flatlander and pretty well remain that way.
Here, when you get to our "little" slopes, there are usually rocks. I don't see any there.
I would guess that keeping fields straight with the neighbor and with the FSA might be a night mare?!?! Would probably be hard to see the corner posts. LOL
Yeah the palouse does not have many rocks, where I am from just southeast of there there are lots of rocks.
The FSA keeps giving us more acres in our fields partly because of the hills! 15 years ago we had a field that was 60.1 acres then the FSA sent us a new map that said it had 62 acres just last year they decided there were actually 64.8 acres in the field and none of the field edges had moved. |
