The urban/rural chasm exists around the world.
The inhabitants of each of those environments have largely quite different attitudes and outlooks, cares and concerns, and sometimes directly opposite. I applaud any steps taken to help build bridges.

I have to say that when I see almost any coverage of rural/farming issues by the maintsream media, that I feel I have some personal knowledge about or experience in, that coverage seems to me to be way off beam, and often just plain wrong.

So why is that ?

Sometimes it could be because my attitudes and outlooks, cares and concerns are quite different to those of the presenter, or their target audience, and sometimes directly opposite.
Sometimes it could be that the presenter simply doesn't know enough to be able to explore the right avenues.

Sometimes I think it is just sensation seeking, and to hell with the truth.

Or at least, with the truth as I see it.
