Northern Idaho | As most of you know in my spare time I take a few pictures, no fancy camera or anything just a cheap one with a little experience of what makes a good pic.
I also like taking drives so this past year I took a couple around the palouse area along the Washington/Idaho border and got some scenery shots at a couple times of the year. A few pics I took last fall after seeding and tillage was done and the rest were taken this year. I made it up Steptoe and Kamiak buttes to get a view from the air, the rest were taken along rural gravel roads for the most part.
The palouse mainly grows winter wheat in rotation with spring wheat and barley, dry peas, lentils, and garbanzo beans. Towards the western side it is drier so mainly a winter wheat-fallow system is used.
I dont have any pics from the winter, but the hills can look pretty cool with snowdrifts.
Hope you enjoy the pics, any questions just ask.

Looking at Steptoe, Washington, that area and westward is dry enough that some fields are summer fallowed as you can see in the pic.
