Winkler, Manitoba Canada
A lot of edible bean growers are swathing their beans with varying degrees of success. The flexhead/draper also gets used on some acres. Some Pickett one-steps around as well, although that fad kind of came and went. Seems to leave too much dirt mixed with the beans. The cutting rods in one-steps also don't live long in rocks or hard heavy gumbo. I am not really sure on split between the various harvesting methods, although I would guess that swathing might be the acre leader by now. We have used Ubly knives in the distant past. These knives are basically a regular knife that has been torch hard surfaced.
