I'll be the odd man out! I ran a 1640 for 18 seasons and went to a 2166 2 1/2 years ago. About 2250 Separator hours now.
Think of the leap you made from the 1480 to the 2166 in comfort and refinement. How much more will you gain going to a 2388? A through CMI inspection and some parts and you're good to go. Your combine traded in will live on for years for the next owner. We can "what if" ourselves to death, but lets face it, if it fails (and it will it's a machine) you get out and fix it. It's not an airplane making an emergency landing. What other priorities do you have for capitol? I have a farm to pay off. Feel I need to run a little older machine to do so.
