mora | mike i think you have more capacity in that machine that you are useing. that is just my opinion though. i run a 1688 and realize it is suppose to be a size bigger. i run a 1083 in some pretty good corn in the 4-5 range. this year i went to a 30 ft platform so i could keep the machine "loaded" up and being able to slow down a little over the 25, to be able to do better job, and not be so tired at the end of the day. i have not cut any beans yet to prove or disprove this yet. i think a guy in my opinion is better of going to bigger heads and slowing down a little and doing a better job than flying around the field and still have the same or more capacity to boot.
