southern MN
Weather seems to go in 20 year cycles.

That's just long enough for one generation to forget, a new generation to not have experienced it....

So, we always have drasticly different weather than we've ever had before. Or so we 'remember'.

This heavy rain in MN was because of a couple of hurricane bits. They just lined up right.

Sitting here in Minnesota, I always fear hurricanes. You'd think we are as far away as can get, but if they stack up in the east, they stop all weather patterns from clearing out over us, and we get dumped on. An active late hurricane season can really mess up my MN harvest.

As to this year, I thought frankly it was a little cooler than average. We had a hot week or 2, but mostly it was nice out, not that ungoshly heat wave that you can't move in. On the news all I heard about was how hot this year was???? Huh. Didn't seem so to me, nothing like the 80's...
