NE South Dakota Clark, SD | The problem with lots of unlocks on a used machine, is that the next owner may only want/need WAAS. Who is going to pay $3000 for a used WAAS EZ 500. I have used EZ guide + and Raven 500 lightbars sitting on the shelf collecting dust. I probably allowed to much for them on trade, but was trying to get the deal done. As far as the "huge" mark up on Precision Ag stuff, until the day comes when we can charge for every tech support phone call, we need that margin to cover our expenses. I have yet to bill a customer for a phone call. If everyone would read the book once, so they have some understanding of functionality, my support calls would probably go down by 70%. I love hearing a customer say "I have been through the book three times and I can't find out how to do this." That is a great customer. Unfortunately these are few and far between. Speed dial to your Precision Ag guy is much easier. |
