north central Oklahoma | I experience the same at our local dealer. I realize inventory costs money, but it seems at times they don't carry much of anything. I don't operate the newest equipment, and new equipment shouldn't be breaking down as much as older stuff, but I oft times wonder what in the sam hill is on those shelves back there, cause it's almost always an overnight, freight sales trip for me. At near $3 fuel, small parts prices will soon justify ordering a half dozen or so at a time from SHOUP and keep them on hand myself. Giving that a lot of thought. Building a new shed and might consider a more sophisticated inventory records system for just such an effort. | |
