WC Illinois/SE Iowa | Normally something that big would not happen in one year around here, but when our normal rainfall during the growing season is around 25" and you get 59" it obviously does happen! And most of the rainfalls were a minimum of 2" at a time. This is not too far from where I live. It probably started out as a small hole this spring after planting, didn't line up with the sprayer tracks early on (if they even had a chance to spray, some did not), so it went unnoticed. Then with all the rain we got, it just got bigger and bigger. | |
