Guy down the road always got old poles from his uncle who worked at a power company. He would cut them down for the size that he needed for fence posts. Just the other day he said he had to replace a bunch of them because they were rotten. He also said he was never using old poles again because they ended up rotten real fast and was too much work to replace them. His words not mine.
