Southeast MN | is a mouse getting into the overhead console and shorting out the control board.
A buddy has an Lx665 and happened to see one scurry down the cable that runs along side the frame into the roof area so he plugged the hole with steel wool.
On my JD version of Lx465, the warning beeper quit working, 6 months later, the hydraulic boom and bucket solenoids quit working, overriding the safety switch. I figured something came loose and I would dig into it on a rainy day. A week or two later, machine wouldn't start. Took it in and dealer put in a new control board, mouse nest destroyed the board. About $400 later for the board and everything works right.
I still don't know how a mouse got in there. | |
