Subject: Killer Dowl Pin (KDP)

cropsey, il 61731
There are pins that position the accessory drive/front gear case on the block and one of these near the fuel pump drive gear will work it's way out and find it's way between the gears and cause problems - I just had a cracked case which I was able to repair. You might go to http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/ for more information. Otherwise it's a pretty nice engine. Everything else will fall apart around the engine before it's worn out.

Hope this helps,

Pat
