Subject: Tahoe start problem, continued...

Nusbaum Farms LLC Bellfountain, OR
Well, the weather here has been good enough to get in a little spraying off and on, so I haven't had a chance to work on the Tahoe a lot. I have started it about every time I've been back to the shop, just to get some idea of consistency. I did scan for codes- nada. I think I'm going to buy a fuel press. gauge when I get to town, so I can watch that next. I'm not 100% sure, but I THINK the fuel pump is doing it's thing. I found the primary wire going to the coil and put my DVOM on it and started it a few times, voltage never seemed to fluctuate much. I'll try it next time and see if it does the start-die thing again. I'm not ruling anything out, especially the ign. switch that Virginia Veg. mentioned.Sometimes it does the start-die, sometimes it starts ands idles crappy for the first 10 sec., and sometimes it starts and runs fine.

Dumb thought- could this be some sort of ignition module? Or is that all run through the ECM? Heck, if it was an old 70's Ford with the "brain box" on the fenderwell, I'd know what to look for. Thanks for all the replies to the earlier post.
