Subject: Oxy/propane torch help

Star Prairie, WI
Hi all,

Let me be the first to admit that I'm a caveman with a torch.

Trying to get a bunch of scrap cut up, and I'm having trouble getting the slag to blow out. I'm not sure if it's the settings, the tip or the operator causing it. I'm running the oxy at 12psi, not real sure where the propane is as the tank went dry before I thought to ask, and a #6 (or 9?) tip.

Any handy hints or fixes? I've gotta run to town in the AM anyway, so if a different tip is in order, I can pick one up.

Thanks,

Steve
