I don' know the drives are probably not as robust as the newer models. But I would think on this TSR model you have twice as many sharpened knives as you did with original blunt hammers in the OEM model. Should give a flywheel effect with more mass rotating and cut easier with sharpened edges on everything.

Are you saying you run your blower off the same belt as the chopper? Any way you could power it off return line from the platform reel? That is how I run my Vittetoe chaff spreader. I have to ground out my straw chopper speed sensor when I run the slowdown kit for corn but otherwise don't have any issues. Those of us running classic combines are somewhat limited on aftermarket improvements as the demand is not out there to sell large quantities of these type items.
