Roseglen, North Dakota
Had a neighbor demo an 8120for a day or 2, then same thing with 9870. His 2 biggest complaints on the IH were slow unloading speed (their auger is smaller diameter) and lack of engine power. He also said engine was slow to recover when pulled down. He ended up buying a used 9770.
I've heard good things about the MacDon head, (better than JD's new draper) they can certainly be put on a JD combine.
I do hear some complaints about the "computer controls" on the JD 70 series (not real operator-friendly).
Where we live, the JD dealer has better parts and service, hands down.
