Texas/New Mexico Stateline
They discontinued the cloud seeding here on the mid plains quite a while back. 1) they couldn't really prove it was worth the expense. 2) when the were doing the seeding program we had several years of very dry weather. 1998, 2000, 2001, are some years that come to mind. Very dry.

I personally think the whole seeding thing is a hoax. How can a few roman-candle flares on one little plane "seed" rain on a thunderstorm that is several cubic miles in volume?

I have not heard how strict the moratorium is over in NM. I have noticed there haven't been any drilling notices in the paper when I get a chance to look at it. It was the right thing to do in my opinion.

I didn't know I was respectable and influential in any group....
