When I asked about the hearing test, etc, the guy said the hearing test would take 20-25 minutes, then another 15-20 minutes to have results explained and various options presented.  Then if my Mom wanted to try some out, it could take up to 2-2.5 hours total. I gather they have equipment in that office that would mimic various situations that might be encountered, so my Mom would have an idea of what will work for her.  Maybe I am reading too much into it, but that is my impression.  $2K each. Yeah, I think my Mom might have a heart attack at spending that kind of $$$.  Might have to line up the ambulance and the cardiologist ahead of time.
