North West IA/western AZ | I don't know what brand dad has now. I just rember that he tried the cheaper ones (that amplify everything) and couldn't stand them in crowded situations. Maybe you could ask for a demo and go out to eat at the local Applebees and see how she likes them.
My dad finally went thru the audiologist, who did a bunch of testing and came up with the pitches that dad couldn't hear and then amplified only them. He then went back several times during the 1st 6 months to fine tune any complaints he had. He still says they are no good, but seems to hear better when they are in the otherwise. Seems like they were around $2k each. | |
