Subject: Re: Hearing aids

They do have a local dealer.  Name is Clear Choice.  actually we went to a dinner presentation put on by Clear Choice.  Found out these sell the Oticon brand..... that is why I am asking.  Yes,  I am wary.  Yes, I got a free dinner out of it. (Yeah, so far the dinner was free.   Smile.)   Yeah,  I did do an internet search and found out that hearing aids are expensive..... too expensive.

So, Buster, what brand does your dad have?  Does he like them?  How long do they last?  You say, he was fitted for his 3rd or 4th pair.  For the cost that I have found, that sounds expensive. Very expensive.  The guy from Clear Choice said they try to fit them a pair to last 8-10 years.  No guarentee on that, but that is what they strive for.  Is 8-10 years realistic?  very unrealistic?

BTW,  Clear Choice is a local business, that has been in the hearing aid business for 7 years. at least, that's what they said.
