Yes get a 5 gal bucket an fill it with sand and the real smooth river rocks about 1/2" and when you put the iron back in the bucket it twist it down into the sand/rocks and that will clean the brander and the rocks will keep it hotter......we have been using elec branders for prob 20 yrs now.
