 | This is why I always like to go back to the actual policy language. There is no disputing plain language from the policy or handbook, etc.
I have a BA, a BS, two masters degrees, countless hours of seminars and training, etc, but as the saying goes, the most important things I learned were in Kindergarten. First and foremost exemplified here is the ability to read the actual documents. I can't even count anymore the number of times I have corrected another agent, an adjuster, a claims supervisor, an underwriter, or for FSA a PT, a CED, a state FSA program specialist, or even FSA Washington DC staff just by having read and applied the plain language from the actual legal or procedural documents.

I don't hold myself out to be the smartest guy out there, but if I don't know something or am not sure, my philosophy is to start reading until I find the answer. If I need someone to help interpret, I generally have those resources at my fingertips too.
