Neighbor uses an electric brand when I help him. I like it just fine. Quiet since you don't have to listen to the propane burner all day.
Drawbacks: Need 1500 watts available where you are working, not always a given. Not quite as hot as iron, so you have to hold it on longer and may be a problem with wild calves.
