I had a neighbor combine some corn almost a week ago. And I'm at least an hour north of Ravenna. Granted, this neighbor is a dairy farmer and may have needed the high moisture corn for feed. But I think it is possible the news that someone was combining corn in Ravenna is legitimate.
I'm confident we will have our highest corn yield in the 33 years that we've been in Mason County. But the market shouldn't be concerned about my area. I don't think there's over 20,000 acres of corn grown in Mason County.
