I like the drill pretty good. It took me quite a while to get used to setting it. And you have to watch pretty close as it will get shallower as the box empties. I knew that before hand, just didn't realize it changed so much. Caught me by surprise a few times when I checked. I think I will have some dried out streaks for sure. I want to try to put extra gauge wheels on the wings next year to help with that. I'm thinking if I had extra wheels and get is set right when the box is empty it won't make any difference when it is full? I had one field that was wheat last year I couldn't sow it because it would plug on the straw. Had to do that with the disk drill. Hard to go from 40ft to 20ft on that one field!

Everybody plants different rates. This early I plant about 20lbs. Some plant 40-60 or more on irrigated. It is very early, but I want to get some pasture for calves. Otherwise it is much better to wait until October if you are just going to grain. Dutch, I will graze everything, graze out some, and cut some if it makes. We got lucky and got a half inch about 10 days ago and I got most of it planted to moisture. In this soft ground it roots out quite a furrow, and looks deep, but the seed is only about 1.5" under the surface.

Thanks for all the nice words guys.
