| Phil - I used the Feekes scale as written in the KSU wheat management guide, and I may have read it wrong. The way I read it Feekes 5 included the first node. I may be in Feekes 6. I have one node below all leaves and some above the first leaf to the ground, but no second node or etc... Additionally, I will take your advice and submit some pictures to you and the forum. Thank you for all of your help. At this point we need some time, however, I am anxious, as others, to come to a conclusion in terms of whether or not to add additional inputs to help things along or to count it out and plan for a different crop.
